Where are you from? 
Hello Nursery Families!  My name is Heather Fagan and I am so excited to be teaching the Nursery students this year.  My husband Gerry and I have been married for 30 years and we have 6 children, Jack, Sarah, Bobby, Alison, Harry and Henry.  All of our children are alumni of Holy Family School just like their dad, many aunts and uncles and countless cousins as well.  Our children attended Catholic High Schools (Holy Trinity, Our Lady of Mercy Academy and Chaminade) as well as Catholic Colleges (Molloy University, St. John's University and Franciscan University). As you can see, we are strong believers in the value of Catholic Education.  Before joining the Early Childhood team in 2014, I was a very active parent here at Holy Family School where I ran numerous fundraisers and events for the students during my 21 years here as a mom.  Holy Family School has been such a blessing to be a part of all of these years.  I have my degree in American Sign Language and previously worked for 2 deaf attorneys before I had my children. Last year, I started teaching ASL to our Nursery through 4th grade students.  We had such a great year and I look forward to seeing them expand upon what they have learned. 

Favorite Saint?
My favorite Saint is Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton.

Favorite Quote?
My favorite quote is “A person's a person, no matter how small”, by Dr. Seuss 

Favorite Book? 
 I am an avid reader so it's impossible for me to pick just one, but my favorite genre to read is Historical Fiction. 

2024- 2025 School Year

What can students look forward to when they join your class?
My students will be greeted each and every day with a smile and a compassionate heart.  My goal for all my students would be that they love to come to school and have fun!  We have so many exciting activities planned for the year.  We will introduce letters, number, colors and shapes all through a hands-on approach to learning.  We will sing songs, read stories, play and have a lot of fun while doing it!
